The Success Secrets of Michael Jordan
I have been an NBA basketball fan since young. In the midst of the NBA legends, Michael Jordan is probably the only timeless superstar who inspire awe, admiration and respect for people around the world. Article source
Over the last twenty years, no single basketball player has achieved the kind of cult status like Michael Jordan. His ability to turn around critical situation in a game is simply mesmerizing. His superman image has created profound inspiration for millions of fans.
Michael Jordan epitomizes the character strength of tenacity and determination, which has had tremendous influence on the personality development of countless teenager fans since his time. Despite his quiet demeanor, Michael Jordan has an immense internal drive that never allow himself to be defeated. Deep inside, he was not one to challenge. His ability to rise up and strike down an opponent was simply awe-inspiring, to which he said: "Unless I'm challenged you don't see the mean streak in me."
The indomitable competitive spirit in Michael Jordan has made him the most feared and respected opponent for other NBA players. In the lyrics of "Don't Mess Around With Jim", Jim Crose described Michael Jordan most aptly: "You don't tug on superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, and you never pick against Michael Jordan." After losing to The Bulls in 1998, New Jersey Nets coach John Calipari said: "Playing against Michael is like playing blackjack against the dealer. He ain't losing." When Madonna was asked about her favorite player when she was at the Bulls game, she said:"M.J. is an amazing human. A god. If I could coma back as another person, it'd be as him."
It is interesting to know what had attributed to Michael Jordan's enormous drive to win. One argument has it that Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, and the devastating trauma of the event had given birth to an extremely competitive spirit that refuses to be beaten. This mentality has made him one of the world's greatest athletes ever.
In psychology terms, "drive" is synonymous to "arousal". It is an emotionally charged state that results from a competitive nature. The degree of arousal or drive, up to a certain level, is the key determinant of the quality of performance whether in sports or business. Beyond that optimal level of arousal, any extra drive will only cause performance to decline. This state of optimal performance only last for a short time, during which the mind, body and emotional system are closely aligned. It is a transcendental state where one is optimally situated between euphoria and depression, boredom and excitement, and relaxation and anxiety. In sports, athletes who are in such optimal state are known to be "in the zone".
It is the state of "flow" that Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi talked about in his book: "Flow". He said: "Flow is a highly focused state of relaxation concentration that obliterates all else out of consciousness. It is the state of self-actualization or transcendental behavior that is euphoric."
Michael Jordan's success lies not just in his extreme competitiveness, but also in his ability to swiftly and frequently enter the flow state, or to be "in the zone". When he is "in the zone", he can jump with amazing ease, float through the air in gravity-defying grace, and never miss a shot. It is the state of euphoria that is addictive. He knows it when he is there. When in the flow state, he simply becomes unstoppable. This is the same experience you probably may have had in the past when you find yourself doing everything with amazing ease, as if aided by some divine forces. It is indeed the divine force that is within you when you are in that optimal state of mind, body and emotional alignment.
How can we enter into such flow state?
Being competitive is important but it alone does not help, because competitive drive can only induce anxiety. Anxiety up to a certain level is key to achieving flow state, but any excess of it will not lead to optimal performance. There is a very fine line that exists between under-stressed and over-stressed. The secret of optimal performance is found somewhere in the middle. According to psychologist, a maximum potential for achievement is reached when a subject performs under moderately stressful situation.
In sports, optimal performance is seen when two opponents are closely matched. Any significant gap in the proficiency of opponent will not bring out the best in the other. To the elite sportsman, their closest rival has a special place in their personal pursuit of excellence. Their closest rival is that unique person who has the ability to push them to perform their best.
The key success factors of Michael Jordan provide valuable insights on what we all can do to create success in our life:
- Find something that you are truly passionate about;
- Committed to massive amount of hard work to perfect the core skill sets, and enjoying it in the process;
- Strengthen your mind power with determination and resilience;
- Learn to harness the state of relaxed but intense concentration by regular practice of meditation and creative visualization, which improves the alignment of your mind, body and emotion, and enhance your ability to enter the flow state.
If you can experience flow state regularly in the activities that you pursue, winning in itself is no longer important, although you will inevitably be performing at your best. It is the euphoria state of being in the flow that brings immense joy and fulfillment to life, in its moment-to-moment experience. This is the essence of successful living.

Mastering Mindsets for Maximum Learning
When people think about the factors that influence student achievement, a lot of things come to mind. These include a student's socio-economic status, the education level of the student's parents, the student's motivation, his or her attitude toward school, and of course, the student's cognitive abilities. One factor that has recently become a matter of intense research and is beginning to become a major focus of educators across the world is popularly called "mindset" and was first popularized by the publication of the book Mindset: The New Psychology of Success (2006) by the major researcher in the field, renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck. Dweck's research has shown that your students' mindsets are one of the most important factors impacting their achievement. As such, this is one factor that master teachers don't leave to chance.
First of all, for those of you who aren't very familiar with the mindsets research conducted by Dweck and others, here's a quick recap of the main findings. In her research, Dweck identified two basic "mindsets" that impact virtually everything we do (and not just in school). These two mindsets are (1) the fixed mindset and (2) the growth mindset.
People who have a fixed mindset hold a deep-seating belief that one's qualities--cognitive ability and personality traits both--are carved in stone and are thus virtually unchangeable. On the other hand, people with a growth mindset have a deep-seated belief that the hand you're dealt by genetics and your life situation is only a starting point and that your qualities are things you can cultivate through effort.
Why is this important for educators? Well, let's say you have a student who has a fixed mindset, and let's further say that he has been praised throughout his life for his intelligence. Such a student becomes invested in this persona of himself as "smart." Now, let's say you assign a challenging class project, and the student's work is not top-notch. Let's say he scores a C, or even a B. What will be his response?
Well, since in his mind, "smart" people make A's, this occurrence creates some real cognitive dissonance. In such cases, a student with a fixed mindset often falls back on excuses. He might blame the assignment or teacher, saying the assignment was "dumb." Or he may feign nonchalance and tell anyone who will listen that he just didn't try. After all, if he really did try and he did not receive an A, that might call into question how smart he is. Rather than change his view of himself (his mindset), he looks for an excuse. Does this sound familiar? Sure! We've all had such students and heard such excuses. But, if a teacher is not aware of how these excuses are arising from the student's fixed mindset, she will not be in a position to attack the problem at its source.
Even more damaging is the effect of such events when repeated over time. The student with a fixed mindset, when faced with repeated failure, will often generalize his excuses even more. Instead of one assignment being "dumb," now the whole class, or even the whole subject matter field becomes "dumb." Or he takes it out on a teacher. Instead of the teacher giving one "dumb" assignment, this often grows into "that teacher has it in for me." Or even worse, the student may keep a fixed mindset but begin to believe that he is not smart, or at least not smart in certain subjects.
Now, let's look at a student who has a growth mindset who finds herself in the same situation. She receives the challenging assignment, tries her best, and receives the same unsatisfactory score as the student with the fixed mindset discussed above. How does she react? Much differently! Rather than make excuses, she is much more likely to look at the event as feedback telling her that she needs to spend more time on such assignments, or work harder, or ask for feedback on her work prior to turning in the final project. In other words, since she sees herself as the kind of person who can change and get better (a growth mindset), she looks at the assignment as a growth opportunity.
We've all had these students before, too. And generally, they are a joy to have in class. They tend to enjoy challenges more, be more open to taking creative approaches to assignments, and they tend to grow over the course of time as students. What teacher wouldn't like to have a whole classroom full of such students?
Changing Mindsets
Unfortunately, the fact of the matter is that every class is a mixed bag of students with fixed and growth mindsets, and if we want the best for all of our students, we have the obligation to help those students with fixed mindsets to change. And the good news is that change is possible. As Dweck has written, "You have a choice. Mindsets are just beliefs. They're powerful beliefs, but they're just something in your mind, and you can change your mind." (16)
But let's not pretend that such change is easy. Earlier when I said that mindsets were "deep-seated," I meant that most people are completely unaware that they hold a certain set of beliefs. These beliefs are usually implicit unless someone else calls the person's attention to the fact. And in the case of students whose fixed mindsets are causing them to stagnate in their learning, it's the teacher's responsibility to be the one who makes the student's mindset explicit and teaches the student a new way to think about him- or herself.
Approaches for Changing Fixed Mindsets
So, what can we do to help students with fixed mindsets to change? Let me start by making two disclaimers:
(1) there's not room in this short article to cover all of the possible approaches you might take with a student, so I am just going to offer a few steps that you can do globally in your classroom to (hopefully) positively affect all of your fixed mindset students; and
(2) not all fixed mindsets are alike. When confronted with evidence of their limiting mindset, some students will be in denial. Others truly are cognitively gifted, and so they tend to breeze by in most classes without much effort. These students will be in for a rude awakening when more challenging work comes along (this may not happen until college) if they don't adjust their mindset now. Another group of fixed mindset students are just the opposite of the just-skate-by group. These students are the workaholics who knock themselves out studying because they fear that they might not always come out on top. Such students aren't learning for the joy of learning, they're working for the grade--and they are likely candidates for burn-out if they don't adjust their mindsets.
I suggest you read Dweck's book for more how-to advice (beyond what I give below) for working with individual students who are resistant to change. And now, with those caveats in place, here are three suggestions to get you started adjusting the mindsets of those fixed-mindset students in your classes.
1. Watch Your Language
The first thing a teacher can do globally is to become more aware of and, if necessary, change, his or her language when talking to students. For example, one of the worst things teachers can do is to praise students for being "smart." Calling students smart, or any synonym for smart, puts the emphasis on intelligence as a fixed quantity. When students do good work and you call them smart as a result, what happens when the same student doesn't do good work? Is he now "not smart"?
The better approach is to use our language with students to focus on the problem-solving strategies they used to come up with the answer, or on the effort they put in to achieve the result. Saying things like, "That was a great strategy you used there" or "Great work! You really must have put in the effort on this paper" go a long way toward focusing students on things they can control.
2. Value and Reward Creativity
One of the biggest handicaps of the fixed mindset arises out of the need to be proven right or smart all the time. As a result, many fixed mindset students "play it safe" by trying to figure out exactly what the teacher wants and what he will reward with the coveted A. You can tell these students because they are the ones who are always asking you to explain in excruciating detail exactly what you want done on any assignment.
Students with a growth mindset, on the other hand, won't nag you about exactly what you want. If they nag you about anything, they will nag you to open up the assignment a bit. They will ask you for more leeway to do something fun or creative.
If your goal is to move the fixed mindset students toward more of a focus on growth, one of the best things you can do is to offer more open-ended assignments or assignments with multiple options. Your growth mindset students will love it, and they will knock your socks off with their creative approaches. Many of them may have been waiting for just such an opportunity to spread their wings and try to do some things their own way.
On the other hand, the more you open assignments up, the more resistance you can expect from your hard-core fixed mindset students. You can explain to them that stretching themselves and taking hold of the opportunity to grow by expressing their creativity is good for them, but you can expect complaining and foot-dragging, anyway. In such situations, they are less sure about "what the teacher wants," so they become anxious.
That leads to another point. If you do, indeed, make your assignments more open-ended or offer multiple options on assignments, you have to be willing to follow through and give students credit for creativity. Sometimes the more creative approaches may lead to work that may not be technically as sound as more traditional work, and in such a case you must make sure that points lost due to lack of technical merit are made up for by points awarded for creativity. This shows the fixed mindset students that going out on a limb to stretch themselves will not backfire.
3. De-Value Grades and Value Reflection
Now, I know I'm getting into difficult territory here, but this must be said. One of the major contributors to the fixed mindset is the traditional grading system. When so much value is placed on a score, it is easy for the score to become the goal rather than the learning and growth you want your students to achieve as a result of their time with you.
So, if grades as traditionally done are one of the biggest sources of the problem, we need to do what we can to find a better system. Now, I know that many of you are locked into the traditional grading system and are not allowed to get too creative with it. However, if you are really going to establish a growth mindset for the students in your classroom, you need to do all you can to make growth the focus of your marking system. Here are a few ideas:
Use a portfolio system and accumulate student work over the course of the school year. As each grading period approaches, go through the portfolios and look at improvement (or lack of same) over time. Make growth part of your scoring rubric for the overall grade for the marking period.
Build reflection and goal-setting into your regular classroom procedure. The test or paper or project should NEVER be the last thing in a unit of study. The last thing should ALWAYS be to have students reflect on what they have learned (or not) and on the quality of the work they have done during the unit and set goals for improvement in the next unit.
As much as possible, give initial grades on assignments like papers and projects, but leave the grade "in pencil" in your grading system for as long as possible. Treat the initial grade on the assignment as provisional, give students feedback, and allow them to circle back to previous projects when they have time to rework them in light of your feedback. Of course, there will always be a "drop-dead deadline" for all assignments to be done before the end of a grading period, but allow students to rework such assignments for an improved grade right up until that drop-dead deadline.
Such practices as these all send the message that what you really value in your class is that students do the best work they can, that they continue to work on improving their work over time, and that they become reflective about their growth in the subject area. Installing such grading procedures in your classroom shows that you aren't just paying lip service to such growth goals; you are actually rewarding growth behavior.
Focus on establishing such approaches early in the school year, especially the grading policies. This will allow you to really start looking at individual students in terms of mindset and having those one-on-one discussions with them about the impact of mindset and how they might go about making changes that will serve them well for the rest of their lives.
Good luck, and happy teaching!

The Millionaire Mindset
TO LEARN MORE ABOUT MILLIONAIRE MINDSET, CHECK THE LIVE EVENTS BELOW:
The Millionaire Mindset: How Self Made Millionaires Think
Do you dream of becoming rich someday, but are not sure how to go about it?
There is a myth that rich people are born with an innate talent to strive for excellence and think creatively, but it is all nonsense! Being a millionaire is not about having more than one million in your bank account. It is about the mindset which creates wealth for you. Similarly, it is the mindset (the wrong one) that prevents you from being a wealthy person. Think about it.. why is it when some people win a huge amount of money in a lottery, they go back to square one and become broke yet again within a couple of years? It is because they never learned the mindset of a millionaire. So, how much money you have right now does not determine you future financial status. Your future depends on your thinking; it's all about changing your psychological approach towards money, success and happiness.
When you think of the word 'millionaire' what image flashes in your mind? For many, it is a flashy type of a guy who lives an ultra-luxurious lifestyle, travels in a private jet, and so on. Surprisingly, typical millionaires are not the image that Hollywood and the media in general has created. Many modern-age millionaires work full-time, live in middle-class homes and shop in discount stores like common people. They are not driven by the material possessions that money can buy. What drives them is the power to make choices; it is about the 'freedom' to make any decision! For instance, being able to quit a job they dislike or sending their kid to a school of their choice.
The number of millionaires has almost doubled in the last decade! There are more and more people getting rich. Millionaires are turning into billionaires! Perhaps, a lot of people are living the good life, so why can't you? Anyone can become a millionaire, but it asks for The Millionaire Mindset: How self-made millionaires think, can help you get there too! Millionaires have more in common with each other than just their bank accounts, it is their mindset. Although, becoming a self-made millionaire is NOT easy, adapting their way of thinking can put you on the right track. Here's how-
1. Whatever You Think About, You Bring About
The beauty of being human is that you can reason and you can choose your thoughts. Thoughts become your actions and actions lead you to your reality. So if you're poor, that's YOUR choice. Maybe you think it's not possible to be a millionaire because you don't have the skillsets, capital, education etc. But most self-made millionaires didn't have any of these, either. Self-made millionaires want to have lots of money and earn it while doing what they enjoy doing the most! They think of multiple ways by which they can attract money.
2. The Universe Doesn't Give You Money
Don't make the mistake of expecting the universe to bestow riches upon you, if that would have been the case you would have been born rich! If you are not rich, it only means that wealth is something that you need to CREATE with creativity and hard work. The first step is of course, the mindset which breeds wealth. Self-made millionaires know that they MUST work harder than everyone else. They don't wait for luck. They make a strong plan on how they will make things happen and execute it. They take a huge 'calculated' risk (could be anything) and hence, reap rewards.
3. Chase Anything But The Money
The idea of being a self-made millionaire sounds great, but most millionaires believe that chasing money will take you nowhere. They all have chased 'something' in their lives and the money came along as a reward. What is it that you would do if you were already a millionaire right now? What are your talents? And are you skilled/educated enough to do your work excellently? Understand that money will always come as a fruit of your hard work. You must be productive and give results. For instance, walking in the hot sun is a LOT of hard work but won't make you a millionaire.
4. Stop Spending, Start Investing
If your goal is to make a million dollars and buy an expensive car, you won't be a millionaire for very long. Millionaires know the importance of investing instead of spending. They earn to save (and that's their habit) and not just to spend. They earn to keep and not blow their hard-earned money away by buying expensive items. They know the fact that money, if saved today, may serve a bigger purpose tomorrow. Moreover, self-made millionaires reinvest the money they make. And they further use it to create new opportunities to be more successful.
5. Strive for Success on a Daily Basis
Earning abundantly means you have loads of knowledge about your work, plus, a strong passion to learn new things and improve your skills. These traits are not something you practice once in a blue moon, they are meant to be a part of your daily routine. Self-made millionaires are passionate about learning and reaching new heights. Just like a child gets excited to learn something new in his/her favorite subject, YOU need to have that passion to excel no matter what gets in your way - emotional traumas, financial setbacks, or whatever.
6. Live Well Beneath Your Means
This is something that you must have read a hundred times, but this is THE golden rule. But why is it so? When you work hard enough to buy that Ferrari, you DESERVE it right? Well, that's for you to decide, but millionaires don't function that way. The reason behind this golden rule is - Gradually, a person starts spending more money than he/she earns. Thus, the real self-made millionaires don't spend more than they earn. As simple as that. As a matter of fact, as parents, they don't pay for everything. They give their kids a monthly allowance and that's it. Hence, they cultivate the 'smart spending' and 'saving' habit in themselves, as well as in their children.
As you can see from the list above, just wanting to be a millionaire is not enough. Self-made millionaires have a different mindset and most live a special lifestyle way before making all that money. By doing some of the things listed above, you too can put yourself on the right path to achieve more!

Beast Mode: Motivation and The Key to Success

“Everybody wants to be a beast, until it’s time to do what real beasts do.“

“There’s always some beast in everybody.”

Many (most?) people, suffer from a sense of frustration of not having achieved what they want to achieve in various areas of life (I often feel this way). We fail to be all that we can be. The days, weeks and years roll by without attaining our most important goals whether they are health related, like losing weight, career-related, relationship-related, financial etc.
What can we do?
The Most Important Question of Your Life
I love the quote at the top of this blog post: “we all want to be beasts until it’s time to do what real beasts do.” So true. Wishes, desire and motivation aren’t usually the problem with achieving our goals. We all want to be beasts. As Mark Manson explains in his excellent article The Most Important Question of Your Life, it is deciding what you want to give up and what pain you want to endure that is the hurdle. We focus on the result when we should be focusing on the process. From Mark’s article:
A more interesting question [than what we want], a question that perhaps you’ve never considered before, is what pain do you want in your life? What are you willing to struggle for?
Because that seems to be a greater determinant of how our lives turn out . What determines your success isn’t “What do you want to enjoy?” The question is, “What pain do you want to sustain?” The quality of your life is not determined by the quality of your positive experiences but the quality of your negative experiences. And to get good at dealing with negative experiences is to get good at dealing with life.
Based on this life perspective, when we have a goal like losing weight, saving more money or getting ahead in our careers, we should not ask whether we want that result, but rather what pain are we willing to suffer to achieve our goals? We should ask this every time we have a goal. If we are not willing to change, to give up something, to endure the pain or effort, maybe we should conclude that we just don’t want it enough and throw out the goal.

What do real beasts do? They train. They practice. They work. They take chances. They fail. They get back up and do it over again. If we don’t want to be a beast in furtherance of our goal, we should switch to a goal where we are ready to go into full beast mode.
Success is About Process
Thus, the key to achieving success is not goal setting – it’s process setting. Success results from creating habits and processes.
As Scott Adams, the creator of the comic strip “Dilbert” and author of a number of books says,“Losers have Goals. Winners have Systems.”
Similarly, Jeff Haden in his book The Motivation Myth relates that “Incredibly successful people set a goal and then focus all their attention on the process necessary to achieve that goal. They set a goal and then, surprisingly, they forget the goal. Sure, the goal is still out there. But what they care about most is what they need to do today—and when they accomplish that, they are happy about today. They feel good about today.”
“Losers Have Goals. Winners Have Systems.”
-Scott Adams
A related point is that counting on willpower to get you to your goals almost never works. We only have so much willpower and draining it in one area usually depletes it availability for another area. It also tends to decline as the day goes on. Read more about why using willpower isn’t a good way to achieve goals: Willpower! Instead, we must establish habits and focus on process.
The Truth About Motivation
In the The Motivation Myth, the author argues that true motivation actually is the result of success, not the cause of success. Once we start something and have some success, even small, we become motivated to continue because we crave success. At some point, our continued success will shape our identity and foster habits that will reinforce the new behavior. From the book:
The process looks like this:
Success → Motivation → More Success → More Motivation → More Success = Becoming
Thus, choose a goal, create a process and then set your goal aside. Then just start. Focus on the process. Love the process. Embrace the process. Revel in little successes the process creates daily. Break it down hour-by-hour and day-by-day.
You get to choose your goal—but after that, what you want to do is irrelevant. What matters is what you need to do to achieve your goal. You can’t have dessert with every meal and lose weight. (Well, theoretically you can . . . but jeez, that will be hard.) You can’t complete a triathlon without doing an awful lot of running, biking, and swimming. (Well, theoretically you can . . . as long as they give you a week to complete the race.) You can’t get promoted without outworking everyone around you. (Well, theoretically you can . . . but don’t you want to earn the job instead of politicking your way in?) So don’t start unless you’re truly willing to pay the price.
-The Motivation Myth
Enjoy the Journey
A key mindset for success is that of enjoying the journey – even the bad parts of our journey. Enjoy what real beasts do! Love the process!
Artwork by Liam Ashurst
I wrote about this mindset previously in Mile 21 Thinking – tell yourself that you want to be doing what you are doing and experiencing what you are experiencing – even if it is painful or hard. Tell yourself that there is no place you’d rather be. If you decide to get in shape, tell yourself that you love the exertion and pain. If you want to get a professional certification, immerse yourself in the studying and tell yourself how lucky you are to be learning when studying late at nights and on weekends.
If that doesn’t work and what you are doing still sucks, then embrace the suck. As the Navy Seal from the fantastic book Living with a Seal says: “If it doesn’t suck, we don’t do it.” Beasts love suck! Be a beast (we all have some beast inside us)!
Again from Mark Manson:
Who you are is defined by the values you are willing to struggle for. People who enjoy the struggles of a gym are the ones who get in good shape. People who enjoy long workweeks and the politics of the corporate ladder are the ones who move up it. People who enjoy the stresses and uncertainty of the starving artist lifestyle are ultimately the ones who live it and make it. This is the most simple and basic component of life: our struggles determine our successes. So choose your struggles wisely, my friend.

Manifestation Guide: How To Manifest Anything You Want In 24hrs
Do you find it hard to manifest the things you want into your life? Perhaps you follow the Law of Attraction and just can’t quite conquer manifestation? It can be tricky at first, but once you get the hang of it, manifesting can become second nature to you. Maybe you are unsure of what manifestation really means. Or maybe you need clarity on what the purpose of manifestation is! In order to succeed in your manifestations, you need to truly believe in them.
So, it’s worth knowing the ins and outs of what exactly manifestation is and how to properly manifest what you want. Before I share my manifestation guide with you, let’s take a look at what manifestation means and how it works.
What Does ‘Manifestation’ Mean?
There are many different ‘definitions’ of the word manifest, but the simplest would be that a manifestation is ‘something that is put into your physical reality through thought, feelings, and beliefs’.
This means that whatever you focus on is what you are bringing into your reality. You may focus and manifest through meditation, visualization or just via your conscious or subconscious.
This process is called manifesting!
For example, if you have been thinking about getting a new job and you focused on exactly what you wanted and when you wanted it, your thoughts and feelings would be strong surrounding this. You could then try to meditate or visualize your goal and this can help to manifest it into your reality.
If you then got your new job and it was everything you wanted, you would have successfully manifested it into your life. So, now that you know what manifestation means, it’s time to find out how manifestation works.

How Does Manifestation Work?
Like with the Law of Attraction, a manifestation is where your thoughts and your energy can create your reality. If you are constantly being negative and feeling down, then you are going to attract and manifest negative energy.
The first thing to do when manifesting is to take a look at your thoughts and feelings. Are you feeling negative? Do your thoughts surround negativity? If so, you could begin to manifest things you don’t want in your reality. This is why it’s important to clear your mind and have a positive mind when you are wanting to manifest.
Manifestation doesn’t just work with your thoughts, there has to be a form of action on your part. This could be actually applying for the jobs that suit what you are looking for and going to the interviews.
Trying to visualize your thoughts and feelings about your job; this will then help you to feel more positive and motivated to make these changes a reality. This will then push you to take some action and, ultimately, manifest your goals into your life.
How To Manifest Anything In 5 Steps
When you read about the Law of Attraction, it can sometimes feel like it will take months or years to manifest anything you desire. However, experts advise that if you carefully work your way through four distinct manifestation steps, it’s possible to get results a lot more quickly. In fact, if you are wondering how to manifest anything in simply 24 hours, you may only need 5 steps.
So, if you follow this straightforward manifestation guide, you may well get exactly what you want in 24 hours or even less!
(And if you believe you may have a manifestation block, you can take this quiz to find out what is energetically holding you back.)
Manifestation Step 1: Choose What You Want To Manifest
When you decide on something specific to manifest, it’s vital that you know exactly why you want this specific thing in your life. And when you’re trying to manifest something in just 24 hours, you also have to pick something you believe you can manifest in a day.
So, for example, there’s little point in saying you want to start a new business in 24 hours unless you actually believe you can attain this goal in the next day. However, you may well believe that you can successfully manifest the next step in your journey to a new business in a day, in which case you might set that as your goal (e.g. to complete a business plan, get a loan you need, or find someone to collaborate with).
When picking a thing to manifest, ask yourself the following questions:
- Do I really want this, in my heart of hearts?
- How will I benefit from having this?
- When I think about having this, does it feel right?
- How will it be good for me and for others?
Whatever want should be the greater good, and something you want in itself; most likely something that’s a significant step on the journey towards a greater manifestation goal.
So, in sum: decide what you want, really connect with the intention to have it, and believe that you will receive what you ask for.
Manifestation Step 2: Get Rid Of Things That Stand In Your Way
Unfortunately, almost always there will be something standing in your way to success. This shouldn’t scare you, this is just part of the whole manifestation process.
Keep an eye out for these three most common manifestation blocks:
- Negative beliefs/mindset
If you are in a bad place emotionally, you need to first get yourself into the right mindset before you can successfully manifest anything. You can’t be focusing on negativity and expect to attract good things into your life. So take some time to practice self-care. Try meditation and different stress-relief techniques.
When you are working on manifesting your dream you need to make sure no one is holding you back. People who don’t believe in you, always criticize you and/or complain about everything are blocks that will keep you from doing your best.
Sometimes you just need to be patient. Everything you want will happen. but it will happen at the right time and for the right reasons. So if something isn’t happening for you right now, it doesn’t mean it never will. Keep believing and keep working on your goal.
Sit back and think about how your manifestation process is going at the moment.

Manifestation Step 3: Visualize What You Want To Manifest
You probably already know the basics of visualization and have at least tried to practice those techniques a couple of times. On your current manifestation quest, start by going somewhere that’s quiet and private, and spend just a minute on visualizing the thing you want.
Pour all your energy and concentration into seeing it with your mind’s eye, and let all the good feelings about the object or outcome well up inside you
This step works best if you do a multi-sensory visualization; if you can see, hear, smell, touch and (if relevant) taste the outcome you’re looking to create. Make it as real as you possibly can, so it’s almost like it’s yours already.
Add as many details as you can, and don’t try to imagine exactly how the thing or outcome becomes yours; instead, focus solely on the end result of receiving what you desire.
Don’t think about how your desired object or outcome will manifest and don’t try to see it coming to you through any particular person or means. Your focus should be on the end result of receiving the thing of your desire.
Manifestation Step 4: Take Action To Manifest What You Want
You can spend the rest of your day pretty much living as you normally would; there isn’t any particular action you need to take in order to make manifestation possible (your intentions are what will determine your success). Rather, once you’ve finished steps 1-2 as described above, you are just waiting for what you want to appear.
However, if you feel the urge to do something specific; whether it immediately makes sense or it’s more of an intuition-based yearning. Then consider following your gut and taking that action. If it feels natural, do it!
If you find that you don’t get the outcome you want within 24 hours or less, look back at the first two steps and go back through them. Sometimes, writing down what you want (and some of the answers to the specific questions posed) can give the universe the extra nudge it needs to fuel your manifestation.
There are some common reasons why you might not be manifesting quickly. In particular, consider whether you’re doubting the process; do you either not believe you’ll get what you ask for because you don’t think you deserve it, or perhaps doubt whether it’s possible to manifest using the Law of Attraction?
Any kind of negative feelings (e.g. anxiety, worry, anger, and doubt) or negative beliefs can inhibit your results.
Manifestation Step 5: Recognize And Appreciate
Although this final step might not look that significant at first glance, it can actually do a lot to shape your manifestation potential in the future. Basically, the key thought here is that you need to fully appreciate what you have once you achieve your goal. It can be easy to forget that you asked for what you received, so take proactive steps to prevent this.
Go back to what you first thought and felt when you were visualizing your desired object or outcome, and connect those experiences with the new experience of having what you want. Consider the tangible proof you have that thoughts are things, and that thinking in a certain way can create concrete changes in the world around you.
The more you make this connection and emphasize it, the better you’ll be at manifesting in the future (as you’ll replace negative, limiting beliefs and doubts with confident, positive thoughts and feelings).
On The Verge Of Manifestation?
So, you’ve finished all of our manifestation steps and you feel positive and motivated… now what? Well, as long as you can hold on to this feeling and stay positive, focus on your goals and take some form of action – then you’ve done all you can!
This means that you are on the verge of manifestation, and there are some signs that you should look out for in order to know your manifestation is close. It may feel like nothing has happened after you’ve set aside time to really think and feel your manifestations, but that’s only the beginning.
These signs are likely to just appear to you, even if you aren’t looking for them.
Signs Your Manifestation Is Close
When you are trying to manifest something into your life, there are many signs that you should be looking out for in order to know that your manifestation is close. Some will be small signs, and others might be staring you right in the face, without you knowing.
Here are some of the signs that may come to you when your manifestation is close:
- Hearing about your desires. This could be overhearing someone’s conversation or listening to the radio, where they are talking about the very thing that you want.
- Feeling excited. If you start to develop a sense of excitement despite there not being a reason, this could be a sign that your manifestation is close.
- You see repeating numbers. Repeating numbers have important meanings and these are a good sign that your manifestation is close. Pay attention to the numbers you see.
- Other people talking about your goals. The people in your life might bring up your goals in conversation, telling you that you would be good at something (even if they are unaware that this is your goal).
These are just a few signs to show that your manifestation is close to being in your reality. Make sure to keep note of the signs you are seeing and feel excited that your manifestations are close.
