Having Faith is Essential For Success - 3 Practical Methods to Develop Faith and Succeed

BELIEVE AND YOU WILL ACHIEVE

When you believe that you will achieve what you set out to accomplish, it happens. You could say you were determined, you had a strong desire but the bottom line is you believed that you would succeed. That is faith - having an unwavering belief in the outcome; a deep, abiding, unshakeable certainty.

Unfortunately, too many people have faith in the negative, meaning "they are sure something will go wrong" and therefore, they are always on the lookout for the wrong thing. It is time to change this mindset. And that begs the question, how do you develop faith. How do you have enough faith in yourself to believe that you will get what you desire?

A BELIEF AND PERSEVERANCE GO HAND IN HAND

You cannot force yourself to have faith but you can persuade yourself to believe anything you like. That is very easy. Others did it to you from the cradle. It is why you believe you are who you are because of what was repeatedly told to you. After all, a belief is just a thought that you think over and over again until you persuade yourself that it is true.

It is only after reading Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich that I understood why faith is essential for success so all credit for these techniques go to him.

Listed are three practical methods you may use to develop faith. Any one of them can work for you if you persist.

1 - CONVINCE YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS

You have two minds, the conscious and the subconscious. The conscious makes you feel in control every day. The subconscious, however, controls the major part of your lives, thoughts, and actions which is why they are so hard to change until you "become conscious" of its role.

In order to convince your subconscious that you believe you will get what you desire, positive self talk or autosuggestions and affirmations are necessary.

a) You have already identified your goal, made your plans, and set them in motion.

b) Now you must create the positive statements and affirmations - in the present tense - which encourage you (autosuggestion) to believe that you will achieve.

c) Repeat your statements every day - out loud when you can - and frequently during the day.

d) Re-read your plans and goals every day as well, to anchor the messages.

This process will convince your subconscious that you have "faith". Practise and follow-through are essential in order to record the message in your mind. The more you work at it, the more convinced you will become, and the more upbeat you will feel. This method takes about thirty days to kick in. It took me sixty days because I copped out for about two weeks.

2 - FOOL YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS

Yes, you can fool your subconscious into believing that you already have what you want, by acting as if you already have it. Some would say that they cannot pretend that way but the thing is you lie and pretend every day for nonsensical reasons. Use your imagination for a valid reason this time around. It is probably the most valuable lie you could ever tell yourself.

3 - TELL YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS TO HAVE FAITH

Basically, fake it until you make it. You have already set the stage with your ideas and plans which you have set in motion. Think strong! Anytime doubts assail you about the outcome you desire, stop them in their tracks and tell yourself you will make it, that it will all work out. When you fake it long enough, you eventually start believing it.

Having faith is essential for success and when you develop faith, you succeed because the mind is quite malleable. It always accepts the thoughts which dominate it. That is why these three methods work so well. Repetition is the key. It is also why you never, ever give up. Because you can always change your mind!
